A round-up of events in the Thai crisis during 3-14 May 2010, starting with the government’s offer of Nov. 14 election and reconciliation and ending with the start of the crackdown of the Red Shirt protesters on May 14. From a somewhat promising possibility of a peaceful deal, the negotiations between the Red Shirts and the Thai government would struggle and be finally derailed, while the position on both sides hardened.
